As the Physiotherapy Assistant, you’ll be right alongside patients - helping deliver treatment programs, supporting their progress and seeing the small wins that matter. You’ll work under the direction of a Physiotherapist while building your own clinical knowledge and confidence across hospital, community and outpatient settings.

This position is based in Rockhampton and services other hospital and community locations, giving you the chance to get out and about across the region while gaining experience in different clinical environments. 🚗

About the role:

  • 📍This position is based in Rockhampton and services other Hospital and Community Locations, which allows the perfect opportunity for regional travel!
  • 🩺 Deliver delegated treatment programs under the supervision and direction of a Physiotherapist, providing feedback on patient progress and outcomes.
  • ⚙️ Work directly with patients, families and the broader healthcare team using respectful, culturally sensitive and confidential communication.
  • 💙 Prepare treatment areas, transport and set up equipment, manage supplies and maintain stock levels.
  • 🤝 Participate in team meetings, service improvement projects, patient documentation and day-to-day Physiotherapy operations.

About you:

  • 🎓 Allied Health knowledge is desirable, with a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance highly regarded.
  • 🧠 Able to quickly develop clinical knowledge and skills and apply them confidently in a healthcare environment.
  • 🤝Works well both independently and collaboratively, communicates effectively and understands their scope of practice.
  • 📈 Willing to contribute ideas and participate in quality improvement activities to strengthen patient care and service delivery.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $82,215 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.34 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
