Bray Park State School was established in 1973 and has a very proud history of successes ranging across many areas of school life.

The school caters for students from prep to year 6 in a warm, caring environment, where pride and achievement are valued and celebrated.  At Bray Park State School your child will experience a varied and interesting curriculum with an atmosphere of family support and values.

Your opportunity:

A workplace reform to temporarily convert 1.00 HOSES position to a 1.00 Deputy Principal position, for an initial period of 12 months, has been endorsed.

The purpose of this workplace reform is to create a leadership structure at Bray Park State School, with a model of 2 Deputy Principals (P-2 and 3-6), to provide effective support to teachers and students, including students with diverse learning needs and student behaviour support, in order to provide quality learning and teaching conditions and improved learning outcomes.

Candidates should articulate how their demonstrated leadership capability, skills and attributes can contribute to this leadership structure.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Principal in establishing a shared vision for the school and promoting high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Act in the Principal's absence when required and demonstrate ethical, values-based leadership across the school community.
  • Promote socially just practices and maintain high expectations for student and staff performance.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry and business, while maintaining a strategic and future-focused approach.
  • Apply relevant legislation and policies to school operations and manage resources effectively to support the achievement of school goals.
