Your new role:

As a Clinical Facilitator – Students and Graduates, you will provide clinical education, support and advocacy to graduate and student nurses across a range of clinical areas. Working closely with Nurse Educators and nursing leaders, you will help create a positive learning environment while promoting contemporary, evidence-based nursing practice.

  • Facilitate clinical education, coaching, orientation and professional development for graduate and student nurses.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, preceptorship and support to develop safe and confident nursing practice.
  • Contribute to education programs, simulation-based learning, clinical assessments and learning resources.
  • Support quality improvement, research, clinical audits and the implementation of contemporary nursing practice.

About you:

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for education, clinical development and supporting the growth of others. You bring strong clinical knowledge, leadership capability and the ability to engage and motivate nurses at different stages of their professional journey.

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating, preceptoring, teaching or supporting undergraduate and graduate nurses.
  • Strong clinical leadership, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education, coaching and simulation-based learning.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and fostering a positive learning culture.

Essential: Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a relevant tertiary nursing qualification. A relevant postgraduate qualification, or current enrolment in postgraduate study, is highly desirable.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
