About the role
In this role, you will provide expert diagnostic and procedural radiology services across a broad range of modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, General X-ray, Fluoroscopy and basic image-guided interventional procedures. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, supporting clinicians across tertiary, quaternary, trauma, rehabilitation and outpatient services to deliver exceptional patient care. This position offers the opportunity to practise across a diverse and complex case mix while contributing to a department recognised for its commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, education and research.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide a medical imaging service that includes the following: CT, MRI, Ultrasound, General X-ray imaging, Fluoroscopy and Tier A intervention procedures (biopsies, drainages, image-guided injections)
- Subspecialty Radiology training and/ or experience is highly recommended. Subspeciality in women's and breast radiology would be highly regarded.
- Commit to working as part of the medical imaging team to help create a harmonious, dependable work environment and be accountable to the rest of the team. Be constructive, helpful, use initiative and be involved in thoughtful and respectful debate.
- Treat all staff with respect, encourage team members to speak freely and hold others accountable for their performance.
- This position requires the successful applicant to actively participate in the rostered on- call service, extended hours shifts, weekends and public holidays.
