The Manager (Planning Guidelines and Projection Methods) is one of three manager positions within the Health Service Research, Analysis and Modelling (HSRAM) unit within SPB. The role oversees the development of planning guidelines and projection methods, along with supporting research, analysis and health service planning information.

Your key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development and presentation of research, analysis, options and recommendations for service planning activities based on international, national and state resources.
- Undertake analysis of data and research of clinical evidence to identify future priorities and issues for Queensland Health that informs the development and review of planning projects.
- Lead and manage the development of service planning guidelines and projection methodologies in collaboration with Queensland Health Divisions and Hospital and Health Services.
- Contribute to identification of health service need to inform healthcare commissioning.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team to develop health service planning guidelines, projection methodologies, and reports to inform policy, service plans and future service requirements.
- Proven ability to lead a team, to achieve defined project outcomes, while driving a collaborative working environment and developing a team to work at the top of their capability requirements.
- Proven ability to lead a team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of service planning advice while managing diverse stakeholder groups and application of project management techniques to meet the objectives of complex time-critical projects.
- Proven high level ability to source, critically analyse and interpret research including both qualitative and quantitative information to underpin the development of statewide, strategic and system level service planning including identification of system priorities.
