About the role

Temporary part time opportunity to deliver a high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in contemporary practice in clinical psychology, with a particular focus on medically unwell patients within a CF/Lung Transplant environment.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level clinical psychology services (Clinical, health and psychometric assessment and interventions) within a multidisciplinary medical team with infrequent need for direct clinical supervision.
  • Provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding the practise of psychology, through participation in relevant forums, and being available for consultation as required.
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise by engaging in, initiating and facilitating professional development activities including specialist clinical psychological education within the multidisciplinary and Psychology teams and to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychologists and post graduate students on placement within the Department to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within clinical health psychology services within TPCH.
