About the role
Working alongside the Neuroimmunologist, this fellowship provides advanced clinical experience in the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of patients with a broad range of neuroimmunological disorders. You will be responsible for providing specialist neuroimmunology care through outpatient clinics, management of treatment monitoring and safety surveillance, assessment of unexpected clinical changes between scheduled appointments, and consultation support for inpatients across the hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Perform medical administrative tasks as required.
- Participation in out of hours rotations, including weekends, on call, etc. for Neurology services across Metro North and beyond
- Supervise the clinical care of patients by Junior Medical Staff in the Department.
- Supervise and teach Junior Medical Staff and Medical Students attached to the Department in the clinical aspects of Neurology.
- Treat patients and their families with courtesy and sympathy and treat all hospital staff and professional colleagues with courtesy and respect.
