Key competencies (role specific criteria)

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge and expertise in Immunology, at a minimum, obtained through relevant tertiary education, but increasing commensurate with experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in the principles and testing of autoantibodies and/or flow cytometry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform established methods and procedures, apply scientific judgement and develop the ability to undertake more complex tasks within an Immunology laboratory.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with both the immediate work team and broader environment and to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in a single-discipline or multidisciplinary team under the clinical practice supervision of senior practitioners.
