About the role:
The Enterprise Discharge Summary and The Viewer (EDSTV) team require an Application Specialist to provide high-level customer focused specialist advice and support of, Enterprise applications in accordance with defined service levels. Your role will include activities to investigate, troubleshoot, and test of the impacts of changes to any of the components supporting Enterprise applications to maintain defined service levels.
The EDSTV team are responsible for delivering services as part of the Department of Health Operational Plan, this includes a key action to progressively enhance The Viewer to provide additional capabilities and to expand access to support optimised care and integration across the care continuum.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, within the ITIL framework.
- Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health by establishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users.
- Continually update and maintain knowledge of specific applications and business technical requirements in the support of enterprise applications.
- Provide timely application support activity reports to stakeholders.
- Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and deployment of application specific guides, work instructions and technical documents.
Role fit:
You will bring strong experience in developing and promoting ITIL service management processes, including incident, problem, test, change and configuration management, within a complex ICT environment. With specialist expertise in clinical and enterprise applications such as The Viewer, Health Provider Portal, Enterprise Discharge Summary and enterprise repository systems, you will provide high-level technical advice, support and service improvement initiatives. Your ability to ensure service delivery meets agreed service levels, combined with excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, will enable you to effectively collaborate with technical teams, vendors and end users to deliver high-quality, customer-focused ICT services.
