Key responsibilities:
• Review the work undertaken by Program Support Officers to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of Notices of Intention to Resume, Applications to the Minister, Native Title Notices, and other associated Property documentation to ensure the Unit achieves its strategic initiatives and objectives.
• Provide advice to the Principal Officer (Geospatial Information) and the Manager (Technical Services) in relation to land transaction matters, practices and processes.
• Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure the practices and processes undertaken by Program Support Officers and other officers of North Coast Region comply with legislation and departmental policy and procedures to minimise potential risks to the region.
• In response to requests from regional team members, source property related data from government portals, other TMR teams or external agencies.
• On receipt of resumption and early acquisition requests from TMR projects and/or external customers, prepare packages ensuring all the required paperwork is present, complete, and accurate.
• Prepare complex resumption and early acquisition packages and associated documentation, undertake required searches and liaise with internal and external clients and/or client representatives, obtain property valuations, and attend meetings in relation to relevant property matters.
• Ensure the integrity of the data relating to the region's property transactions is entered into the region's Property Tracking Register correctly.
• Assist in preparing high level correspondence and documentation on a broad range of property issues including memorandums to the Minister.
• Assist the Principal Officer (Geospatial Info) in coaching, training, and mentoring the Program Support Officers to ensure staff are adequately skilled and knowledgeable in their roles.
• Lead and guide Program Support Officers in relation to the documentation associated with the resolution of challenging and difficult property resumptions, hardship acquisitions, title corrections, and the disposal of land.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders including those both internal and external to the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

Requirements of the role:
• Apply property and legislative knowledge to ensure land transactions are managed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Deliver high-quality property services through the review, quality assurance and administration of complex property documentation, records and transactions.
• Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by providing professional advice and communicating clearly with internal and external customers.
• Refer to RD for more requirements of the role.
