Your new role:

As the Nurse Educator, you will provide advanced nursing and educational leadership across orthopaedic services, designing and evaluating education programs that strengthen clinical practice, workforce capability and patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of learning, enquiry and continuous improvement.

  • Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of orthopaedic nursing education and training programs.
  • Identify workforce learning needs and develop targeted education, coaching and mentoring programs for nurses at all levels.
  • Provide expert orthopaedic nursing knowledge and translate evidence-based theory into contemporary clinical practice.
  • Lead quality improvement, research, innovation and workforce development initiatives that support safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with NUMs, CNCs and multidisciplinary stakeholders to strengthen clinical practice, education and professional development.
  • Support compliance with professional standards, competencies, policies and contemporary orthopaedic practice requirements.

About you:

You are an experienced and confident nurse educator and clinical leader who can translate your advanced orthopaedic expertise into meaningful education and workforce development. You will bring strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, together with a commitment to evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, education, training and building positive team culture.
  • Proven ability to develop, deliver and evaluate specialist education and clinical programs.
  • Strong capability in applying evidence-based practice, research, quality improvement and service data to improve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate individuals and teams to deliver safe, contemporary, evidence-informed care.

About us:

The PAH Orthopaedic Unit provides access to multiple orthopaedic specialties including lower limb, upper limb, spine, pelvis and orthopaedic oncology. It includes 2 inpatient units with a total of 52 inpatient beds with a co-located outpatient department.
