The SPaRTa team provides multidisciplinary telehealth clinical palliative care services to rural & remote Townsville Hospital & Health Service (THHS), Northwest Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) and Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS).

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $140,632 to $152,685 p.a. (NG7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
The Nurse Practitioner Candidate functions as an integral member of the Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth (SPaRTa) Townsville team, providing advanced and extended nursing practice to patients with life-limiting illness across Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS), and North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS). Through a predominantly telehealth service model, the role supports patients, families, carers and clinicians in rural and remote communities to deliver timely, equitable and evidence-based specialist palliative care.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA).
- Highly Desirable: Extensive experience in a Palliative Care setting.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- Travel is a requirement of this role.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening.
