About the role

As a Graduate Radiographer with Metro North Health, you will join a structured 12-month graduate program designed to support your transition from university into clinical practice. Based within the Medical Imaging Departments at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and STARS (Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service), you will work alongside experienced radiographers, radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams while developing your clinical skills and confidence. Under the guidance of senior clinicians, you will provide a high-quality, patient-centred imaging service across a range of clinical environments, including general radiography, fluoroscopy and theatre imaging.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Maintain quality and safety standards through clinical practice and appropriate communication.
  • Perform all approved examinations with compassion, respect and integrity.
  • Deliver a routine general medical imaging service under regular supervision from HP4 Senior/HP5 Advanced Radiographers and/or Radiologists.
  • Engage in education, training and professional development to progress to full scope and more complex examinations with supervision.
  • Provides a patient focused imaging service that is professional and timely.
