About the role

Take the next step in your nursing leadership career within one of Queensland's leading cardiac services. As the Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Investigation Unit at The Prince Charles Hospital, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a highly specialised service delivering diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures to emergency, inpatient and outpatient populations. 

Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will provide operational leadership, coordinate patient flow and support the effective management of human, financial and material resources. This role offers the opportunity to influence service delivery, workforce capability and patient outcomes while promoting a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement within a dynamic clinical environment.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide operational leadership and support the effective management of day-to-day activities within the Cardiac Investigation Unit, ensuring safe and efficient patient flow.
  • Apply advanced clinical nursing knowledge and contemporary leadership practices to support high-quality, consumer-centred cardiac care.
  • Collaborate in the management of human, financial and material resources to achieve service objectives and support efficient use of healthcare resources.
  • Lead and support staff performance, workforce development, education and professional growth within a positive and inclusive practice environment.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities and evidence-based decision-making that enhance patient outcomes and service performance.
