We are seeking experienced guidance professionals for temporary and relieving opportunities across the region in 2027.
Applicants to the Temporary Relieving Pool 2027 may be considered for opportunities arising from temporary vacancies, relieving arrangements and backfill requirements, subject to operational needs.
Opportunities may span regional, rural and remote school communities across North Queensland.
This is a temporary opportunity from 27 January 2027 until 10 December 2027, unless otherwise determined.

Senior Guidance Officers work closely with Principals, regional teams and multidisciplinary partners to strengthen guidance and counselling services and support student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement across the region.
Your opportunity:
Applicants to the Temporary Relieving Pool 2027 may be considered for opportunities arising from temporary vacancies, relieving arrangements and backfill requirements, subject to operational needs.
As a Senior Guidance Officer, you will:
- coordinate and support the delivery of high-quality guidance and counselling services across schools.
- provide clinical and technical supervision to Guidance Officers.
- support complex student wellbeing and learning needs, including complex case management.
- lead professional development, induction and mentoring for Guidance Officers.
- build effective partnerships with school leaders, multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
- contribute to regional initiatives supporting student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement.
