Your new role:

As a Health, Safety & Wellbeing leader, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals and Bayside Health Service. You'll build strong partnerships with executives, leaders and workers, provide trusted expert advice, lead complex risk and incident management, and turn safety insights into practical action and measurable improvements.

About you:

You're a confident and collaborative health, safety and wellbeing leader who can translate complex safety requirements into practical action, influence at an executive level and deliver meaningful improvements across complex healthcare environments.

  • Lead with impact – proven ability to lead HS&W services, teams and priorities across complex operational environments.
  • Influence and partner – build trusted relationships with executives, leaders, workers, unions and external stakeholders.
  • Think strategically – connect organisational priorities with safety risks, assurance findings and practical improvement opportunities.
  • Bring expert advice – apply contemporary HS&W legislation, standards and risk management principles to provide clear, evidence-based guidance.
  • Drive continuous improvement – lead complex incident investigations, strengthen controls and turn insights into safer workplaces and better outcomes.

About the Employee Health, Safety and Wellbeing team

This position sits within the Metro South Health, Human Resources, Employee Health Safety & Wellbeing team. The team supports Metro South Health in identifying health and safety risks and improving the physical and psychological health, safety and wellbeing of workers and others in line with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011, relevant Codes of Practice and relevant provisions in safety legislation and other legislation and MSH procedures and guidelines.
