About your opportunity:

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is commencing CT services in Ingham in October 2026! We are looking for a talented part-time radiographer to join our imaging team in Ingham and bring this service to life.

As a HP4 Radiographer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to the community of Ingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and collaborative team during a period of growth, with the introduction of Computed Tomography (CT) services to the existing Medical Imaging Department.

Working as a rural radiographer, you will provide patient-centred care across a diverse caseload, contributing to improved access to imaging for the local community. You will apply advanced clinical skills and professional judgement within a multidisciplinary team environment, supporting high standards of diagnostic accuracy, radiation safety, and service excellence.

In addition, you will contribute to education and knowledge sharing within the department by providing guidance to colleagues, students, and other health professionals, while promoting awareness of the clinical and safety considerations unique to medical imaging practice in rural and remote healthcare.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $64.64 to $69.55 p.h. (HP4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable).
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • Travel is a requirement of this position.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
