About your role
As a Principal House Officer/Registrar within the Surgery Department, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care to surgical patients while working under the supervision of experienced specialists.
You will:
- Provide clinical care to surgical patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct ward rounds, coordinate ongoing care and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Work closely with treating specialists to plan and deliver effective patient care.
- Participate in on-call and night shift rosters, with hours negotiable for the appointment.
- Support clinical education, audits, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

You will bring:
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and patient management skills.
- Excellent communication, handover and clinical escalation skills.
- A patient-focused approach grounded in empathy, respect and professionalism.
- Ability to supervise, teach, mentor and provide feedback to junior staff.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and safe clinical practice.
