Townsville Oral Health Services are seeking experienced and client focused Administration Officers to join their team to provide support to both Kirwan and North Ward Health Campuses.

About the opportunity   

The position provides a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive attitude towards patients and colleagues.

The position provides an efficient appointment booking service for all patients and provide efficient utilisation of booking time available for clinicians.  The position is responsible for supporting patient access to Oral Health's Standard Range of Services in in accordance with the Oral Health Services Waiting List Guideline and Eligibility Guideline.

The position provides a range of frontline and frontline support activities to support the Townsville Oral Health Service to deliver Service Agreement Key Performance Indicators.

 

These positions will be required to work across both the Kirwan Health and North Ward Health campuses. While employees will be rostered to specific work locations, operational requirements may necessitate changes to these locations at short notice.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of and communicate Oral Health's Standard Range of Services in in accordance with the Oral Health Services Waiting List Guideline and Eligibility Guideline to patients and/or their carer/parent.
  • Demonstrated capability to de-escalate difficult situations.
  • Proficient skills in data entry with a high level of accuracy in a patient information system.
  • Capacity to maintain the strictest confidentiality with patient information.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the relevance and application of values-based workplace behaviours and attributes.

Role requirements

  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $3129.60-$3480.40 p.f. / $41.17 - $45.79  p.h. (AO3)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Locality allowance
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
