What You'll Do 
As the AO6 Senior Project Officer, you will:
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and drive public protected area expansion outcomes, including land acquisitions, land reconfigurations and other land dealings, provide advice on and continuously improve strategies and systems, policies and procedures for protected area expansion across QPWS&P.
• Assist in the implementation of strategic organisational initiatives utilising established project management methodologies and appraise and monitor performance to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Research, analyse and synthesise information, and prepare correspondence, reports, briefings and submissions to support the delivery of protected area expansion across the QPWS&P estate.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners including QPWS&P regions, commonwealth, state and local government agencies, research organisations, First Nations partners, legal advisors, brokers, carbon service providers, agents, external partners, landholders and relevant community stakeholder groups.
• Assist the unit manager to represent QPWS&P in industry forums, interdepartmental and other committees to support the delivery of land acquisition tenure, conservation and carbon project outcomes.

Additional Requirements  
Legal right to work in Australia.
It is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted automatic or manual driver's license.
This position may require travel to other locations from time to time, including overnight stays.
