About the role

As an Administration Officer within Allied Health Administration, you will provide efficient call centre, booking, and administrative support services to patients, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams across The Prince Charles Hospital and Pine Rivers Community Health Centre. The role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate patient information, effective waiting list management, and high utilisation of available appointment and booking capacity.

Working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, you will deliver high-quality customer service, coordinate appointments and referrals, maintain data integrity across multiple information systems, and provide administrative support to Allied Health teams. This position is a key link between patients, clinicians, and stakeholders, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of Allied Health services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide call centre, booking, and administrative support using a range of health information and patient management systems.
  • Manage patient waitlists, appointments, cancellations, rescheduling, and referral processes in line with Queensland Health requirements.
  • Deliver professional and confidential customer service to patients, health professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to Allied Health Directors and multidisciplinary teams, including correspondence, data entry, and appointment coordination.
  • Work effectively within a dynamic team environment while prioritising workloads and maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
