Avoca State School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Junior Primary Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will teach a Year 1/2 multiage class and work collaboratively as part of a highly experienced Junior Primary team. Our teachers work closely together to plan, teach, assess and moderate, ensuring consistency and high-quality learning experiences for all students.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting young learners and would enjoy working within a supportive, collaborative and experienced team at Avoca State School.
2026 Opportunities
- Year 1/2 (Temporary, 06/10/26 - 11/12/26)
Experience or knowledge of the following would be highly regarded:
- Decodable Readers Australia and evidence-based approaches to the teaching of reading
- Reboot and Essential Skills for Classroom Management (ESCM)
- Teaching in a multiage classroom
- Differentiating learning to meet the diverse needs of Junior Primary students
- Working collaboratively within a team to plan, assess and moderate student work
