Your new role:

This role provides specialist psychiatry clinical care to consumers in the community and service division

  • Oversee the clinical governance of the Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre (QTMHC) to ensure it provides a high quality state-wide clinical consultation service.
  • Support the strategic direction and ongoing development of the QTMHC and to contribute to the strategic direction, and clinical leadership for the service.
  • Provide direct psychiatric clinical services to consumers of the QTMHC and will lead a multi-disciplinary team in delivering high quality state-wide consultation and liaison services.
  • Lead education, training and ongoing professional development in the area of transcultural mental health

About you:

  • Provide specialist services across Metro South Health facilities
  • Deliver inpatient and outpatient care, including on-call participation
  • Perform elective and/or emergency procedures
  • Supervie and teach junior medical staff and students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, research, and quality improvement
