Brisbane Bayside State College is seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Services and Marketing Officer to join our College administration team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of the college through high-level executive support, strong administrative capability, and strategic communication and marketing support that promotes the college and its achievements.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.83FTE), 60 hours per fortnight.

Your opportunity:

As the Executive Services and Marketing Officer, you will provide high-level confidential executive, administrative and secretarial support to the Principal, while coordinating communications, marketing, events and community engagement activities that support the effective operation and positive profile of Brisbane Bayside State College.

Responsibilities include:

You will have responsibility for, but not limited to:

  • executive support and calendar management
  • preparation of correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting documentation
  • records, policy and information management
  • office administration and clerical support
  • event planning and coordination
  • newsletter, website and social media coordination
  • stakeholder liaison and community engagement
  • support for awards, ceremonies and school functions
  • maintenance of communication systems and promotional materials
  • coaching and support for team members
  • compliance with school administrative and emergency procedures

About you:

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • proven ability to provide high-level executive and administrative support in a busy and complex environment
  • strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and professionalism at all times
  • strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • experience in communications, marketing, event coordination or stakeholder engagement
  • sound skills in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce high-quality documents and publications
  • the ability to build productive relationships with staff, students, parents and external stakeholders
  • initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement
