About the role

The Practice Manager provides leadership, support and direction for the delivery of high-quality administrative services across the Children's Specialist Oral Health Services (COHS). Based at the Queensland Children's Hospital and Oral Health Centre, Herston, this role is responsible for coordinating administrative operations, supporting service delivery, and ensuring a positive patient experience while contributing to the achievement of organisational and strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will oversee administrative staff, manage clinic scheduling and resources, coordinate operational processes, and work closely with clinical and leadership teams to maintain efficient, responsive and patient-focused services. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports budget management, and helps implement sustainable administrative practices that support the delivery of safe and effective oral health care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Lead and manage administrative operations and staff across Children's Specialist Oral Health Services.
  • Coordinate clinic scheduling, workforce rostering and resource allocation to support efficient service delivery.
  • Partner with clinical leaders to optimise administrative processes, service quality and patient experience.
  • Monitor administrative budgets, business systems and operational performance to support organisational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement sustainable administrative practices across the service.
