Tamborine Mountain State School is seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our school team. In this role, you will help maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the school grounds and facilities.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.39FTE), 29.5 hours per fortnight. Morning shift 4.00am to 7.00am or 5.00am to 8.00am Mon to Thurs and 4.00am to 6.45am or 5.00 to 7.45am on Fridays. Must have a Working with Children blue card.

Your opportunity:

  • Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.
  • Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise school facilities, bathrooms, furniture, floors and outdoor areas.
  • Remove rubbish, graffiti, cobwebs and debris.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Open/lock buildings and manage security systems.
  • Report safety, security and maintenance issues.
  • Liaise with school management and assist visitors as required.
  • Complete other duties as directed.
