About us:
Our school is located on Walker Road in Edmonton, just south of Cairns. The school opened on 29 January 2007 and has continued to grow. We now have approximately 500 eager learners from Prep to Year 6.
We provide supports which cater for the individual needs of all students. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for all students to achieve their potential. Our vision is the provision of quality educational services in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
At Isabella State School we have adopted the values and principles from the 'Positive Behaviour for Learning' program. Your opportunity:
- Liaise and provide support to students and families at the school and liaise with the wider community.
- Promote the benefits of education to improve outcomes for students and families.
Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with students, families and stakeholders.
- Support attendance through family engagement and home visits.
- Identify student wellbeing and behavioural concerns and coordinate support.
- Monitor student wellbeing and implement intervention strategies.
- Maintain relevant data and records.
- Facilitate communication and resolve concerns between students, families and the school.
- Promote a positive, caring and supportive school environment.
