We are seeking a Head of Department (Curriculum) for a temporary full-time position commencing 09 November 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined. This position is part of the Regional Music team for Metropolitan North, as a Head of Department (Curriculum), based at the Metropolitan North Music Resource Centre, located on the grounds of Everton Park State High School. This role supports the enrichment programs implemented across the region for Instrumental Music and classroom music.

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead with a clear educational vision that promotes high-quality learning outcomes, equity, inclusion and socially just practices for all students.
- Set and maintain high expectations for student achievement, staff performance and continuous improvement across the curriculum or whole-school program.
- Build strong partnerships with students, families, colleagues, government agencies and community organisations to strengthen student outcomes and school engagement.
- Provide strategic and future-focused leadership by responding to emerging educational priorities, engaging in lifelong professional learning, and aligning practice with relevant legislation, policies and departmental requirements.
- Effectively manage resources and operations by strategically allocating human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve agreed priorities, goals and outcomes.
