About the job
You will oversee a small team, delivering exceptional digital communication services and advice, ensuring effective workload management and meeting tight deadlines. Acting as a representative of the Department, you will work collaboratively across government to influence digital communication policies, champion innovative approaches, and contribute to ongoing improvements in digital engagement and service delivery.
Key deliverables
• Lead a high-functioning and effective team that delivers strategies to manage and enhance the departments' digital presence including websites, social media platforms, CRM and digital campaigns.
• Lead projects that deliver best practice digital strategies for the Department.
• Drive social media management across Queensland Government channels, creating engaging, relevant and aligned content, scheduling, monitoring, and analysing posts, as well as implementing social media listening tools to track engagement and sentiment.
• Develop whole-of-government social media policies and guidelines and provide guidance and quality assurance to departments to ensure content is strategic, consistent and aligned with government priorities.
• Deliver data-driven digital campaigns, using analytics to measure performance and optimise outcomes.
• Lead the Queensland Government Social Media Network, building capability across the sector and collaborating to build cross-promotion opportunities.
• Manage digital projects and UX/UI design to ensure intuitive, accessible and effective user-centred digital experiences, using data to identify trends and opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Manage workflow, team workloads, people, risks and deadlines of a specialist digital team to ensure the provision of high-quality communication advice and services to high level clients.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement systems and processes and formal quality control methods to ensure a high standard of output and client servicen from the team.
• Drive innovation and anticipate risk, change and market impacts.
About the team
The Communication, Digital and Design team within the Strategic Communication Branch is a multidisciplinary team, providing strategic advice and leadership that supports the government's priorities. We lead dynamic integrated communication and engagement solutions, across a variety of channels, targeting diverse audiences for a more informed and connected Queensland.
