What you'll do
As the Principal Technology Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative and reliable IM/ICT solutions by supporting the installation, configuration and testing of software, hardware and equipment across a complex technical environment. You will build, document and implement technical solutions in line with established best practice design and delivery frameworks, while providing expert advice and recommendations on technical specialisations and their application. Working collaboratively with a team of specialist technical professionals, you will utilise approved design standards, methods and tools to develop and support enterprise-aligned solutions, assess and analyse infrastructure changes, and assist in the planning and implementation of technical enhancements. You will also support the evaluation and management of risks associated with proposed changes, contribute to the successful delivery of complex technical initiatives, and undertake administrative and operational duties as required to support business outcomes.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated ability or the ability to quickly learn eHealth Queensland's ITIL Service Management processes, primarily incident / problem / change / configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 3, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 3, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 2)
- High level understanding and technical skills in one or more of the following:
- Windows 10, Windows 11
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory and Novell eDirectory)
- Active Directory Group Policy administration and configuration
- Application packaging (MSI, application virtualisation, scripting technologies)
- Enterprise printing solutions (Novell iPrint)
- Demonstrated high level technical expertise evidenced by the ability to provide professional support, advice and solutions. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4)
- Well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
- Proven ability to work in a team environment, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders. (NHS Collaborative Working.
