Role details
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications from Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The purpose of this role is to competently deliver clinical services, independently and within a multidisciplinary team, to the clients of the Mental Health Unit in the Division of Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs.
About the Team
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides care to people who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness. If a person is admitted to an acute inpatient unit, it is often because their mental illness is not manageable in a less restrictive setting, such as community-based support. Acute inpatient treatment services provide care to individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of serious mental illness including Depression, Schizophrenia, Schizo-affective disorder, Bipolar disorder and Personality disorder.
