Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant on Ward 6A, you will provide advanced clinical leadership, expert advice and consultancy within acute medical nursing. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and multidisciplinary team, you will help drive safe, contemporary and person-centred care for patients with complex medical needs, while supporting education, quality improvement and service development.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy in acute medical nursing.
- Support high-quality, person-centred care for patients with complex needs and comorbidities.
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement, clinical redesign and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Use advanced clinical judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving to support positive patient outcomes.
About you:
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with advanced knowledge of acute medical nursing and a passion for clinical leadership, education and improving patient care. You will bring strong communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to influence practice and support teams through change.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in acute medical nursing.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and the ability to support best-practice patient outcomes.
- Knowledge of clinical governance, NSQHS Standards and contemporary nursing practice.
