About the role

As the Senior Administration Officer, you will manage, coordinate and supervise a team of five administrative staff, ensuring efficient and effective support across the Neonatology service. You will work closely with Clinical Directors, Nurse Unit Managers, medical staff and nursing teams to deliver high-quality administrative services and support operational outcomes. You will also assist in overseeing the administrative operations of the Developmental Assessment Program, supporting infants previously admitted to the Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Work as a Team Leader and a role model motivating staff working within a multidisciplinary team / unit to perform at their best and meet team, service line, and organisation objectives.
  • Supervise and provide leadership administrative support staff responsible to this position, identifying potential areas for improvement and ensuring duties are completed efficiently.
  • Manage and undertake all administrative duties relative to the office of the Director, Neonatology Women's and Newborn Services, including diary management, coordination of bookings management of meeting materials and screening of telephone calls and visitors.
  • Supervise and provide leadership administrative support staff responsible to this position, identifying potential areas for improvement and ensuring duties are completed efficiently.
  • Develop, implement and maintain innovative continuous quality improvement strategies in line with policy and health agreements including collating responses and interpreting data, reports and KPIs.
