The role works closely with operational scientific and corporate teams to develop trusted data assets, deliver meaningful insights and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, workforce capability, financial sustainability and organisational performance. The position plays a key role in strengthening FSQ's data maturity by improving data quality, supporting data governance practices and developing analytical products that inform strategic and operational decision making.
Your key responsibilities
- Identify, source, integrate and maintain datasets from multiple operational and corporate systems to support organisational reporting, performance monitoring and business intelligence requirements.
- Prepare, collate, analyse, review and disseminate high-quality data, information, insights and advice using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel and other contemporary analytics platforms.
- Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and analytical products that support executive decision-making, operational performance management and strategic planning.
- Identify trends, patterns, risks and opportunities through analysis of workforce, financial, operational and service delivery data and present findings using effective data visualisation and storytelling techniques.
- Develop and contribute to the strategic direction of Strategy and Governance by providing timely, reliable and evidence-based insights to support organisational priorities and reform initiatives.
- Undertake projects that improve data quality, data integrity, accessibility and consistency across FSQ systems and reporting frameworks.
Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability
- Demonstrated data literacy and the ability to understand a broad range of operational and scientific data, including how complex concepts, processes and information are represented and translated within datasets, and to explain these relationships to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to design and maintain complex data and reporting environments, integrating and transforming data from multiple sources to deliver robust dashboards, performance reporting and business intelligence solutions.
- Advanced capability in data acquisition, integration and analysis, transforming complex information into actionable insights, business intelligence and performance reporting that support strategic decision-making, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, underpinned by strong data governance and quality practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality management and information management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience using Power BI, SQL, Excel and other business intelligence and analytics tools at an advanced level.
