Your new role:

Lead strategic health funding analysis and performance improvement across Metro South Health in this senior management opportunity. As Senior Manager – Health Funding Analysis, you will provide expert leadership, analysis and advice to support effective activity-based funding, service optimisation and financial sustainability. You will:

• Lead and manage the Health Funding Analysis Team, providing direction across hospital service provision and supporting effective activity and funding management.
• Provide strategic advice to senior executives and clinical leaders on activity-based funding, costing, performance trends, resource allocation and the financial and business impacts of change.
• Lead complex analysis, reporting, forecasting and benchmarking, using health data and innovative techniques such as data mining to identify opportunities for funding improvement and service efficiency.
• Develop and implement integrated activity-based funding business intelligence systems that support service planning, performance monitoring, hospital expansion modelling and sustainable service delivery.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader who can combine advanced health funding expertise with strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management capabilities. You have:

• Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and drive performance and operational plans.
• High-level analytical, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to build credible relationships across clinical, business and executive teams.
• Healthcare management experience, with the ability to engage clinicians and executives in improving funding, activity and costing measures.
• Advanced knowledge of Activity Based Funding and health data classification systems, together with experience working with complex health information systems, data repositories and competing priorities.

The Health Funding Analysis service provides information and analysis to assist with:

• Activity Based Funding,
• Monitoring activity performance and trends in service delivery,
• Technical efficiencies, funding compliance and improvements,
• Supporting quality improvement activities,
• Planning new services, and
• Comparisons of activity for benchmarking between services.
