Coomera State Special School is seeking an Administration Officer to join the team!
This is a busy, student and family-focused role requiring someone who is approachable, empathetic and confident interacting with students, parents and carers.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of administrative processes, including school enrolments, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Your opportunity:
- Support the day-to-day administration of support staff, including recruitment and selection, induction, training, workforce requirements, staff records, compliance training, supervision and professional development.
- Apply departmental and school policies, guidelines and legislative requirements, while managing Blue Card processes, ADO arrangements, timesheets and providing advice on staff leave entitlements.
- Coordinate staff supply and contract placements as directed, and assist with financial administration including data entry, financial registers, budget reviews, purchasing information, payment plans, Centrepay and school-purchased time.
- Assist with the management of the school's financial operations, including identifying issues, liaising with program managers, conducting research and recommending solutions, as well as supporting resource, asset and facilities management.
- Assist with stocktakes, maintenance scheduling, facility hire and building inspections, and support the Business Manager with capital works and minor works in line with maintenance requirements and school needs.
