Your new role:
As an Administration Officer, you will provide timely, accurate and professional administrative support across Minor Injury and Illness Clinics, Specialist Outpatients and associated services. You'll be a key point of contact for patients and clinical teams, managing reception, bookings, patient records and data while ensuring a positive and confidential patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality reception, administrative and patient support across multiple services.
- Register and discharge patients, maintain accurate records and manage patient bookings.
- Process correspondence, data entry, scanning, medical typing and general office tasks.
- Support waiting lists, appointment changes and patient enquiries using Queensland Health systems.
About you:
You are an organised and adaptable administration professional who can confidently manage competing priorities while providing a welcoming and patient-focused service. You communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality and can work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
Skills & Experience
- Strong administration, reception, computer literacy , customer service and data entry skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, adapt to change and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience with Queensland Health systems such as FirstNet or ESM is highly desirable.

Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre, Maroo-goodji-ba:
The satellite health centre is also known as Maroo-goodji-ba, a name chosen by the community and local Traditional Owners and Elders means ‘peace, wellbeing and place of red earth' in the Yagarabul language.
The satellite health centre treats minor illnesses and injuries that aren't life-threatening and also have a range of specialist services, including kidney dialysis, cancer day therapy and mental, allied health and outpatient services.
Meadowbrook Health Centre:
Meadowbrook Health Centre will provide a new Minor Injury and Illness Clinic and a Women's Health Outpatient Clinic.The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic will offer free, walk-in treatment for conditions not anticipated to be life-threatening. It will operate from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week, and is designed to help take pressure off Logan Hospital's emergency department for patients who do not require care in an acute hospital setting.
The Women's Health Outpatient Centre will provide a contemporary and convenient facility for local women attending antenatal and gynaecological appointments and tests.
