The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Innovation Lead (Health Information) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Lead the development and design of health information solutions that improve efficiencies, reduce costs and support activity-based funding initiatives
• Provide high quality analysis of complex health care data to support optimisation and automation opportunities
• Develop and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms to track benefits and cost savings of each initiative
• Maintain expertise, provide specialist advice and act as a consultant in the area of health information and data management

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded:
• Experience with dashboard & app design, automation tools and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with clinical and patient administration systems such as Hospital Based Clinical Information System (HBCIS), and the integrated Medical Record.
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $144,315 - $154,879 per annum

Our high-level responsibilities for the division are for corporate strategy and planning and oversight and management of strategic partnerships, service improvement, digital transformation, digital operations, digital assets, digital partnerships, portfolio/program/project management including major capital/infrastructure programs, clinical coding, service disruption, service redesign.
