About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

• Understand Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service objectives and client objectives and implement human resource initiatives that assist with meeting these objectives at a local level.
• Support and mentor the team of Senior HR Consultants to ensure they are visible across relevant divisions to support the workforce on various HR related issues, needs and business requirements.
• Provide the Senior HR Consultants and HR Advisor subject matter expertise on industrial relations and employee relations risks, including engaging with unions and participating in consultative forums.
• Provide the Senior HR Consultants and HR Advisor subject matter expertise in relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, policies and practices, in relation to contemporary Queensland Public Sector human resource practice and ensure that practices within CHQ HHS are consistent.
• Support the Manager of HR and Employment Relations and Director, HR Operations in the governance and management of relevant human resource frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enable the development and implementation of HR programs, projects and policies.
• Provide robust advice and coaching to senior managers on people, culture and general management issues, policies, programs and practices.
• Analyse and provide professional advice on the efficient and effective management of specialised HR Services including complex issues and grievances, industrial issues, recruitment and selection and performance appraisal framework in accordance with relevant HR legislation, policy and directives.
