Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide high level strategic leadership and direction for the ongoing project management of culturally inclusive disaster planning and exercising in Queensland discrete indigenous communities including Torres Strait.
- Build, consult and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support efficient processes for the successful initiation of action plans to address recommendations, insights and the development of learning.
- Lead, manage and coordinate research and analysis activities, and work with key stakeholders through workshops and meetings to support continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management regarding best practice lessons management and research.
- Manage and conduct analysis activities on all external and internal reviews and reports and provide progress reporting on the status of recommendations and projects of work.
- Prepare, review and provide complex briefing documents, submissions, reports and correspondence on related issues and initiatives, in accordance with requirements.
- Participate in the delivery of initiatives within the scope of the Project.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
- Knowledge, experience, or qualifications in lessons management, research, and project management related area(s), and/or disaster management will be highly regarded.
Other
- This may require work outside of normal hours including weekends, working extended hours and may include deployment to other parts of the State.
- This may require flexibility in workdays to calculate 0.5FTE.
