RoadTek is seeking an experienced Construction Worker (Supervisor) to join our team in Rockhampton. In this permanent full-time role, you will supervise the delivery of civil construction and maintenance projects, helping ensure project outcomes meet client and business objectives.

About the role

Working closely with the Project Manager, project teams, clients and stakeholders, you will help coordinate resources and provide leadership and direction to support successful project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• assisting with projects through all phases of the project cycle
• supervising and supporting project teams to achieve project outcomes
• coordinating labour, plant and equipment to meet project requirements
• supporting project planning and maintaining daily project records
• coaching team members and supporting their skills development
• building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
• contributing practical solutions to project challenges
• supporting employees participating in the Civil Trades Development Program.

About you

You will bring practical experience and knowledge of road construction and/or maintenance, together with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. You will understand project management principles, be confident working with diverse stakeholders and have the ability to support teams to deliver safe and effective project outcomes.

You must hold a current Queensland C class driver's licence or equivalent. A Certificate III in Civil Construction applicable to modern transport infrastructure projects, plus core Leadership and Management competencies, is required, or you must be able to acquire these competencies within 36 months. Participation in RoadTek's Civil Trades Development Program is mandatory. Travel to other locations may also be required for varying periods.
