The Opportunity
Do you enjoy working with communities, building stakeholder relationships and supporting the delivery of meaningful engagement initiatives?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Engagement Officer to join our Engagement team. In this role, you'll help deliver community and stakeholder engagement activities that support one of Australia's largest biosecurity programs.

Working alongside a collaborative team, you'll support engagement campaigns, manage stakeholder enquiries, coordinate project activities and contribute to positive outcomes for communities, industry groups and government stakeholders. You'll play an important role in ensuring engagement activities are delivered efficiently, professionally and in line with program objectives.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From supporting community events and stakeholder engagement activities to managing enquiries and improving business processes, you'll help ensure the National Fire Ant Eradication Program continues to deliver high-quality engagement outcomes across Queensland.

As our Engagement Officer, you will:
Support the delivery of community and stakeholder engagement campaigns, ensuring activities are delivered on time and aligned with program objectives.
Coordinate engagement activities and manage competing priorities to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
Work collaboratively with team members to support the implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and activities.
Provide exceptional customer service when responding to enquiries from community members, stakeholders and internal clients.
Manage and record enquiries through the program's client relationship management system, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Identify, escalate and assist in managing sensitive issues, complaints and potential reputational risks.
Liaise with external service providers and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Use program systems and mapping tools to plan, coordinate and report on engagement activities.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and service delivery outcomes.
Contribute to enhancements of the program's client relationship management system, including undertaking User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Attend community and stakeholder engagement activities, including occasional work outside normal business hours.
