Job details

As a Senior Policy Officer within Lands Policy and Legislation, you will contribute to the development and implementation of policy that supports the sustainable management of Queensland's land resources. Working in a collaborative team, you will help deliver policy solutions that support economic development and community outcomes.

In this role, you will provide policy advice to senior executives and stakeholders, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of legislation and policy. You will undertake research and analysis to prepare briefs, reports and Cabinet submissions, and contribute to operational policy, procedures and systems. In addition, you will monitor emerging issues, represent the department in working groups, build strong stakeholder relationships, while supporting training initiatives and contributing to projects that improve policy and business outcomes across the Lands division.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate high-quality advice, strong analytical capability, effective stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage competing priorities while contributing positively to team outcomes. Experience in public policy will be highly regarded.
