As a Program Support Officer (PSO), you will be at the heart of the application process, ensuring a seamless experience for clients while supporting efficient delivery of funding and assistance initiatives.
Leveraging your strong administrative skills, attention to detail and ability to interpret financial documentation such as financial statements, taxation returns and cash flow statements. You will manage application registration, verify supporting documentation, conduct preliminary eligibility assessments and provide exceptional client support. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and customer focused professional, particularly someone with experience or interest in accounting, bookkeeping or banking, to contribute to meaningful outcomes, build expertise in program administration and financial assessment and make a real difference in the communities QRIDA serves.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the registration and processing of applications for various financial assistance programs administered by QRIDA, including conducting preliminary eligibility checks, verifying and managing application documentation and follow up of outstanding information.
- Verifying applicant details including property searches, company searches and identification checks.
- Maintaining accurate client and application records within QRIDA's database, ensuring data integrity and compliance with organisational standards.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with clients via email and phone to request, clarify or confirm application information.
- Preparing written material as directed, utilising computer-based word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database and desktop publishing software.
- Contributing to a safe and healthy workplace by complying with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, standards and organisational policies and procedures and participate in risk management and corrective action programs.

Our Role and Purpose
The Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) is a specialist provider of government financial and advisory support to rural and regional Queensland.
As a statutory body of the Queensland Government, we have been helping primary producers and industry recover from natural disaster, improve sustainability and profitability, make a start in business, and overcome difficult conditions, for over 30 years.
As the Queensland Government's experts in rural finance, we also administer the State Government's Farm Business Debt Mediation program, the Farm Debt Reconstruction Office, conduct a biennial Rural Debt Survey, undertake research and provide advice to the Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities.
QRIDA is empowered under the Rural and Regional Adjustment Act 1994 to deliver additional programs and services across a range of industry sectors and to local, state and territory governments throughout Australia and for the Australian Government.
