About the role
Temporary opportunity to assist and support the registered nurse in the provision of direct/indirect person-centred care and required unit activities within Medical Imaging. This role provides an opportunity for ongoing development of the undergraduate student into the profession of nursing or midwifery, the organisation and the healthcare team culture and function.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist in the provision of nursing and midwifery team support and for delegated actions in line with the NMBA Decision Making Framework.
- Function in accordance with legislation when undertaking activities as delegated to provide an environment and care that is safe and relevant for individuals and groups.
- Contribute to the effective coordination of nursing or midwifery care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner, abiding by the Medical Imaging standards and escalating concerns to the registered nurse/midwife.
- Respond appropriately and report sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person to the registered nurse/midwife.
