About us:
Based in Rockhampton and reaching across Central Queensland, Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Services (BBV and SHS) provide specialist care, support and education for people affected by blood borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections.
From screening and diagnosis to treatment, education and health promotion, we bring services closer to the community through clinics, outreach, local partnerships and telehealth.

About the role:
- Promote, encourage and support clinicians and health professionals across CQHHS to undertake effective contact tracing for people diagnosed with sexually transmissible infections (STIs).
- Provide education, guidance and direct support for complex contact tracing scenarios, strengthening clinical practice and public health management of STIs and blood borne viruses (BBVs).
- Provide clinical leadership and specialist nursing knowledge, applying advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to support safe, evidence-based care.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to contribute to education, quality improvement, policy and practice development across the service.
About you:
- Qualified and registered: You're a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, a current practising certificate and a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent).
- A confident clinical thinker: You bring strong clinical and problem-solving skills, can navigate complex situations and know how to keep care safe, high-quality and person-centred.
- A people person and team player: You communicate with confidence, provide clinical leadership and enjoy working collaboratively with patients, families, clinicians and the wider community.
- Always learning: You're passionate about evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and supporting others to grow. A Sexual and Reproductive Health or relevant postgraduate qualification is a bonus — or you're keen to work towards one!
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $9,019 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
