As the Senior Ranger, Fire Support, you'll play a leading role in coordinating and strengthening Northern Region's fire management program. Much of your work will focus on planning, coordination and program delivery, including supporting planned burning programs, bushfire preparedness, staff training, exercises, governance, reporting and lessons management. You'll help oversee fire-funded projects, coordinate specialised equipment and resources, contribute to emergency preparedness and support regional responses to bushfires and other incidents when they occur. Working closely with operational fire crews, rangers, Traditional Owners, the Queensland Fire Department and other stakeholders, you'll help ensure the region's fire program is well planned, well supported and aligned with best practice.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people together, improving systems and processes, and helping teams achieve great outcomes through strong planning, collaboration and leadership.
