The Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office (RIDO) is seeking a skilled and motivated Principal Advisor to work closely with the General Manager in a key advisory and coordination role. Operating at the centre of a fast-paced and complex environment, you will help ensure priorities are effectively managed, decisions are informed by high-quality advice, and business objectives are progressed efficiently.
This is an opportunity to become a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leadership. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the office by providing critical coordination, analysis and support across a broad range of issues, initiatives
and stakeholder matters. Your work will help create the conditions for effective decision-making, strong governance and successful delivery of organisational priorities.
The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working across a diverse range of activities and can confidently navigate competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders, internal stakeholders and external partners, building productive relationships and helping to facilitate collaboration across the business.
Success in this role requires strong judgement, initiative and the ability to quickly understand complex issues. You will be responsible for synthesising information from multiple sources, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing clear, practical advice that supports informed decisions. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage sensitive matters professionally and maintain a strategic perspective will be highly valued.
Beyond the immediate responsibilities, this role offers significant professional development opportunities. You will gain exposure to executive decision-making processes, complex organisational challenges and high-level stakeholder engagement. You will join a collaborative and outcomes-focused team that values professionalism, responsiveness and continuous improvement. The work is varied, engaging and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution through the advice you provide, the relationships you build and the support you deliver to leadership and the broader organisation.
If you are a proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working in a role that combines strategy, coordination and stakeholder engagement, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your career while contributing to the success of a high-performing Branch.
