Your opportunity:

  • Provide counselling, advocacy and individualised support to students, while offering advice and recommendations to students, teachers and parents regarding educational, behavioural, career, mental health and family matters.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive student support, case management and referral services that promote student engagement and access to education.
  • Undertake student observations and psychoeducational assessments to identify learning, developmental, behavioural or emotional needs and inform appropriate educational adjustments, interventions and individualised support plans.
  • Support the implementation of student protection, behaviour support, risk management and transition processes, including assistance with critical incidents, alternative education pathways and reintegration into mainstream schooling.
  • Provide specialised support for students' educational and future pathways, including SET planning and career development, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality, professional records and compliance with relevant policies and legal requirements.
