About us:

We provide specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug services to more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana.

With services across the region, we offer everything from acute inpatient and community care to Step Up Step Down and Child and Youth Mental Health services.

We work alongside hospitals, healthcare teams and community partners to connect people with the right support and help them on their recovery journey.

About the role:

  • Make a real difference. Deliver high-quality, profession-specific clinical care across assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and evaluation. You'll use your clinical expertise, professional standards and evidence-based approaches to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Be part of the team. Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care for children and young people with complex and diverse mental health needs. You'll work closely with consumers, families and carers, as well as other health professionals and services, to ensure care is connected and person-centred.
  • Share your knowledge. Help build mental health awareness and capability by contributing to education programs for health professionals, community services and community groups. Your knowledge can help others feel more confident supporting children, young people and their families.
  • Help make things better. Get involved in quality and service improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical practice, improve client care and enhance how services are delivered. You'll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and help shape better outcomes across the service.

About you:

  • You have a relevant clinical undergraduate degree (or equivalent), along with eligibility for registration or membership with the appropriate professional body, is essential.
  • Solid foundation in clinical practice, recovery-focused mental health care and child and youth development will set you up for success.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive partnerships with children, young people, families, colleagues and other service providers are key.
  • Strong time management, prioritisation and a commitment to professional development, networking and evidence-based practice will help you make an impact.

 

Mental Health Clinicians

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Social Work

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $11,047 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
